Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has reportedly offered personal support to Bhumjaithai Party MP Suchada Sangtanasap as she faces intense questioning regarding her family's finances. The controversy centers on her husband, Taiyang Zhang, and his alleged involvement in international online gambling operations. Reports indicate the couple holds assets valued at approximately ฿1.9 billion, leading to calls for transparency regarding their financial declarations and political contributions. Suchada disclosed that the Prime Minister contacted her directly, advising her to share a social media update to dispel rumors that she and her husband had left Thailand. This political pressure coincides with a planned no-confidence motion by the opposition, which aims to challenge eighteen ministers from the Bhumjaithai Party later this month. While the Prime Minister celebrated the successful conclusion of international financial meetings in Bangkok, his party prepares for a significant parliamentary confrontation regarding these integrity concerns.
