Data from the Kasikorn Research Centre indicates that scheduled international flights to Thailand are projected to rise by 5.8% during the final quarter of 2026. While this figure exceeds the global average growth rate of 2.5%, it remains lower than the expansion observed in neighboring markets such as Vietnam, Malaysia, and China. The research highlights a potential increase in regional competition for tourism as other nations experience faster growth in air connectivity. Furthermore, the report notes that the majority of these incoming flights are concentrated in Bangkok and Phuket, suggesting that the economic advantages of this growth may not be spread uniformly across the country. These findings are based on airline scheduling data analyzed for the period between October and December.
