A three-year-old boy tragically died on Sunday night after falling from the 17th floor of a high-rise building in Ghaziabad. The incident occurred near National Highway-9 when the child wandered into an exposed air conditioning shaft while playing. The unit had been removed for maintenance, leaving the opening unsecured. Residents and security personnel discovered the child on the ground floor following the fall. Despite being rushed to a nearby medical facility by his family and neighbors, the boy was pronounced dead upon arrival. Local authorities noted that the vent was positioned unusually close to the floor level. The family, who reside in the apartment as tenants, has chosen not to pursue legal action or request a post-mortem examination, as they remain in deep distress. Police are continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident.
