Law enforcement officials in Turkey conducted coordinated operations across Istanbul, Aydin, and Izmir on Friday, resulting in the detention of ten individuals. According to reports from the state broadcaster TRT Haber, the suspects are accused of maintaining connections to the Gulen movement. Authorities allege that several of those taken into custody had previously served in leadership capacities within the group and had recently restarted their activities. The Turkish government has maintained a persistent campaign against the movement, which is led by the late cleric Fethullah Gulen, since 2013. Following a failed coup attempt in 2016, the administration officially labeled the organization a terrorist entity, leading to widespread arrests and legal actions against suspected members and affiliates throughout the country.
