A bus transporting students from Sher-e-Bangla Medical College in Barishal was involved in a road accident early Tuesday morning. The vehicle veered off the road and fell into a ditch in the Jinglatali area of Daudkandi, Cumilla, while the group was en route to Cox’s Bazar. Emergency responders transported 24 injured students to the Daudkandi Upazila Health Complex for initial medical care. According to hospital physician Nayan De, nine of the victims sustained severe injuries and were subsequently transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital to receive specialized treatment. The incident took place at approximately 4:30 am.
