Ahead of President Sheikh Mohamed’s upcoming state visit to Germany, the UAE Ambassador to Berlin, Ahmed Alattar, emphasized the country's commitment to neutral mediation in international conflicts. During his discussions with German leadership, including President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Chancellor Friedrich Merz, the UAE aims to strengthen bilateral ties, particularly within the economic and development sectors. Alattar pointed to the Emirates' successful mediation efforts between Russia and Ukraine, which facilitated the exchange of nearly 8,000 prisoners, as evidence of the nation's growing influence in global diplomacy. This state visit is viewed as a significant milestone for enhancing the partnership between the two nations, leveraging the UAE's position as a neutral facilitator to foster international cooperation and stability.
