General Xavier Brunson, who leads the United Nations Command, conducted a joint inspection of the eastern inter-Korean border alongside South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman, General Jin Yong-sung. The visit took place on Wednesday as a response to recent unauthorized crossings by North Korean personnel into the area. During their tour, the two senior officers examined frontline guard posts and general outposts situated within the Demilitarized Zone. The primary objective of this inspection was to evaluate current operational conditions and ensure that military readiness remains at an appropriate level in light of the ongoing security challenges along the border.
