The Leo Club of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura has finalized the second stage of its Pranadhara ’26 initiative, aimed at improving water security for rural residents. In partnership with the Lions Club of Godigamuwa Centennial, the student organization distributed ten water storage tanks to families living in Sewanagama, Habarana. This effort seeks to assist local households in managing their daily water requirements, particularly during times of scarcity. By providing these storage solutions, the project helps address the ongoing challenges related to water access that frequently affect communities within Sri Lanka’s Dry Zone. This collaborative service project highlights the role of university students in addressing essential infrastructure needs in underserved regions.
