The extensive renovation of the Prithvi Highway's Pokhara-Mugling segment is nearing its conclusion. Project officials report that the western portion, stretching from Pokhara to Jamune, has achieved 86 percent physical completion. Meanwhile, the eastern section connecting Jamune to Mugling is finished and has been officially handed over. This 41.45-kilometer stretch now features four to six lanes and includes 17 newly built bridges. The eastern segment has entered a defect liability period, requiring the contractor to address any construction issues while remaining responsible for maintenance for five years thereafter. A separate contract is currently managing the construction of a major bridge over the Madi River in Tanahun. Work continues on the remaining western infrastructure to finalize the project.
