Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of US Central Command, stated that Iran is currently effectively isolated from maritime trade, excluding humanitarian goods. This development is part of an ongoing American strategy to diminish Tehran's financial resources, specifically targeting oil exports and military expenditures. According to Cooper, US operations have successfully prevented the export of approximately $25 billion in crude oil. Furthermore, the United States has collaborated with various agencies to seize roughly $350 million in cryptocurrency assets. These measures are intended to limit Iran's capacity to finance security forces, procure weaponry, and support activities that Washington classifies as terrorism. The campaign focuses on three primary pillars: restricting oil sales, disrupting digital financial networks, and undermining the funding mechanisms for Iranian military personnel.
