Aziz Abdukhakimov, who serves as the Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan regarding environmental matters and leads the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change, recently presided over a formal meeting. The session focused on coordinating the country's strategy and logistical arrangements for the 31st Conference of the Parties (COP31) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. This international event is scheduled to be hosted in Türkiye. The discussions aimed to ensure Uzbekistan is well-prepared to engage effectively in the global climate negotiations and address the environmental priorities set for the summit.
