The manufacturers of Vimal Elaichi have approached the Delhi High Court to contest show-cause notices issued by the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration to actors Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Tiger Shroff. The regulatory body alleged that the mouth freshener advertisements constituted surrogate marketing for prohibited pan masala products. In its August directive, the agency instructed the brand ambassadors to provide proof of the product's distinct commercial existence and demanded the removal of all promotional content from social media and digital outlets. The petition seeks to nullify these notices, asserting that the marketing does not violate regional bans. The court has reserved its judgment on the legal challenge following the submission.
