Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with US representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Kyiv to discuss the ongoing conflict with Russia. Zelenskyy expressed concerns that the war may persist into the winter months, emphasizing the critical need for international assistance regarding air defense, energy infrastructure, and liquefied natural gas supplies. The US envoys, who recently held discussions with President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, are working to facilitate a resumption of peace negotiations. While both sides acknowledged the necessity of compromise and described the recent diplomatic exchanges as substantive, no immediate breakthrough was announced. Zelenskyy remains hopeful about reaching an agreement with American and European partners to stabilize the situation as the conflict enters its fifth year.
