The Ministry of Home Affairs has initiated an inquiry into Armed Police Force Additional Inspector General Banshiraj Dahal following his suspension. Dahal faces accusations of disclosing sensitive information and maintaining unauthorized associations, including a reported connection with a middleman from Jhapa. Furthermore, he allegedly visited former Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana while the latter was in custody at the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office. To oversee the probe, the government has appointed AIG Anjanikumar Pokharel, currently serving at the APF Human Resources Department, as the sole investigator. This administrative action is being conducted in compliance with established Armed Police Force regulations regarding official conduct and the handling of confidential data.
