The city of Alatau is set to implement a digital twin project to enhance urban management and infrastructure maintenance. By creating a virtual replica of the city, officials aim to monitor building integrity and utility networks while simulating potential developments before physical execution. This initiative involves a partnership between local Kazakh experts and South Korean firms. Furthermore, the city intends to leverage digital finance by issuing tokens to secure funding for various construction and development projects. Arman Asakayev, representing the Alatau City Authority, introduced these strategies at the third Central Asia Fintech Summit in Almaty. The integration of advanced digital infrastructure is designed to streamline urban operations and provide new avenues for attracting investment, ultimately impacting both the local business environment and the quality of life for residents.
