Starting September 14, 2026, electricity services may be suspended for thirty-eight residential complexes located in Almaty and its surrounding region. The utility provider, Energosbyt, a division of Alatau Zharyk Company, issued this warning due to substantial arrears accumulated by the management firms overseeing these properties. According to the company, these measures are consistent with existing legal frameworks and service contracts. Officials emphasized that the upcoming winter heating season necessitates consistent energy payments to ensure reliable utility delivery. The utility company has already distributed a list identifying the specific residential areas and complexes affected by these payment issues, urging management entities to settle their outstanding balances to avoid service termination.
