During the 6th World Conference on International Arbitration in Doha, former Minister of Justice Dr. Masoud bin Mohammed al-Amri emphasized the evolving relationship between the judiciary and arbitration bodies. He noted that courts are moving beyond their conventional role of mere oversight to actively supporting the arbitration process. This shift is significantly transforming how disputes are resolved. The event, hosted by the Qatar International Centre for Conciliation and Arbitration at the Fairmont Doha, marked the organization's 20th anniversary. The session focused on the theme of Alternative Dispute Resolution in a modern context, specifically examining the transition from traditional judicial supervision to a more integrated and supportive framework for arbitral proceedings. Experts at the conference highlighted how this closer cooperation strengthens the overall legal landscape for dispute resolution.
