A nursing assistant named Kanokrat Yottiwong lost her life in Chiang Mai, Thailand, while attempting to aid teenagers wounded during a street confrontation. The victim, who was off-duty from her hospital role, encountered the youths following a motorcycle accident on Highway 11 on November 1. Reports indicate that the teenagers were involved in a pre-arranged fight stemming from an online dispute between two rival factions. Despite police intervention to disperse the initial brawl, the groups continued their pursuit along the highway, engaging in vehicular attacks involving gunfire and explosions. The Faculty of Medicine at Chiang Mai University, where Yottiwong was an alumna, confirmed her passing through a social media tribute. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident as the violent pursuit escalated into a tragedy for the bystander.
