Flight operations at Amritsar airport were temporarily suspended after an unidentified drone was spotted in the vicinity. In accordance with established safety protocols, authorities diverted seven incoming flights to nearby airports in Delhi and Chandigarh to ensure passenger security. A specialized committee has been convened to evaluate the situation and determine whether the aerial activity represents a genuine security risk to the aviation infrastructure. Officials are currently monitoring the area and following standard operating procedures to manage the disruption caused by the incident.
