During the opening day of the county cricket match at Derby Cricket Ground, Bangladeshi pace bowlers Hasan Mahmud and Khaled Ahmed demonstrated significant skill. By the lunch break, the pair had collectively dismissed four Derbyshire batters, claiming two wickets each for Kent. This performance marks a notable milestone for Bangladesh, as the nation lacked representation among county pace bowlers until recently. Hasan Mahmud initiated this trend in June, participating in two matches for Kent and subsequently leveraging that experience to earn a Player of the Match honor during a Test in Darwin. Following his success, Khaled Ahmed made his debut for Kent on Tuesday, further establishing the presence of Bangladeshi fast bowlers in the English domestic circuit.
