A 38-year-old Bangladeshi man, identified as Asadul Haque from Idrail village in Thakurgaon, has died after being shot by India's Border Security Force (BSF). The incident occurred late Friday night near the Pirganj upazila border when BSF personnel from the Chokshibanand camp fired upon a group of individuals. Haque, who was transported to a medical facility for treatment, passed away on Saturday morning. According to an official statement from the 42 Battalion of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), the deceased was allegedly involved in human trafficking and drug smuggling activities, with multiple criminal cases pending against him at the local police station. The BGB confirmed the details of the fatality following the late-night confrontation at the border.
