Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power (KHNP) has officially ceased contract discussions with a consortium led by Daewoo Engineering and Construction regarding a significant nuclear energy project in the Czech Republic. This decision highlights internal disagreements within the South Korean group involved in the multibillion-dollar initiative. The state-run utility provider announced on Thursday that it is moving to terminate the existing cooperation agreement with the consortium, which also features Doosan Enerbility. Consequently, KHNP is initiating a fresh bidding procedure to identify and select a new contractor to move the project forward. This development marks a notable shift in the management of the major international infrastructure deal.
