A woman identified as Sun Meihua has returned to Beijing following a twenty-six-year disappearance. Her discovery occurred in April when a social media content creator encountered her in a rural Shandong village. The blogger noticed her disoriented state and shared her story on the platform Xiaohongshu during the May Day holiday to assist in locating her relatives. Although her father died before she was found, he had instructed his son to persist in the search. Following the online appeal, DNA analysis verified her identity, allowing her brother to bring her home on September 8. This conclusion follows decades of separation for the family, fulfilling the late father's final request to locate his daughter.
