The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) announced that weather conditions are expected to improve across a significant portion of the country this Sunday. According to weather specialist Obet Badrina, the southwest monsoon has weakened as a tropical depression located outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility draws the system away from the archipelago. This trend of milder weather is projected to persist through Tuesday. Despite the general improvement, authorities cautioned that isolated rain showers and thunderstorms remain possible, particularly during the afternoon, evening, or early morning hours. Additionally, the country continues to be influenced by easterly winds originating from the Pacific Ocean.
