The Philippine Bureau of Immigration has verified that Senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano have traveled abroad. Officials stated that there are no legal restrictions, such as hold departure orders or derogatory records, preventing the siblings from exiting the country. However, the agency refused to provide specifics regarding their travel dates, destinations, or the nature of their trips. The bureau cited the Data Privacy Act of 2012 as the reason for withholding these details, noting that it is legally obligated to protect the personal travel information of the senators. Consequently, the public remains uninformed about the duration or purpose of their current absence from the Philippines.
