The value of the U.S. dollar has experienced a recent decrease within Kazakhstan's currency exchange market. By early afternoon on September 10, exchange bureaus in Astana reported selling the dollar for approximately 455 tenge, while Almaty outlets offered a rate of 452 tenge. These figures represent a downward trend compared to the rates recorded on September 9, when selling prices were notably higher in both cities. The National Bank of Kazakhstan established an official reference rate of 456.89 tenge per dollar for the day. This shift in currency valuation follows recent discussions among financial analysts regarding the potential influence of the National Bank's decision to reduce the base interest rate to 16.25 percent on September 4.
