A 32-year-old man was taken into custody by police following a domestic incident at a residential block in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 on September 8. Authorities were alerted to the situation around 8:40 a.m. after receiving a report regarding a missing person. Upon arriving at the fourth-floor unit, officers discovered the man, who had reportedly locked himself inside for nearly a full day following a disagreement with his spouse. Witnesses indicated that the individual expressed distress regarding his marital situation and made concerning remarks about self-harm. Due to these potential risks, law enforcement officials intervened and apprehended the man under the provisions of the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Act to ensure his safety.
