New legislative measures in China have officially commenced, granting authorities the power to prevent citizens from traveling abroad. These restrictions specifically target individuals identified as potential risks to the nation's technological security. By limiting the movement of those who might compromise sensitive technical information, the government aims to bolster its national security framework. These rules establish a legal basis for exit bans, ensuring that individuals with access to critical data or proprietary technology remain within the country's jurisdiction to prevent unauthorized disclosure or intellectual property loss to foreign entities.
