The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority has reported that 1,357 individuals have been confirmed dead following the severe flooding centered in Rasuwa. Search and rescue operations remain ongoing, as 5,326 people are still reported missing. Data released by the Ministry of Home Affairs indicates that Chitwan district recorded the highest number of recoveries with 363 bodies found. Other significantly impacted regions include Nawalparasi East, Nawalparasi West, Nuwakot, and Rasuwa. Authorities noted that only 102 of the recovered victims have been identified and returned to their families thus far. Efforts to locate the missing and identify the remaining deceased continue as the nation grapples with the aftermath of this disaster.
