A Delhi court has granted release to Cockroach Janta Party members Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das, and Ashutosh Ranka, contingent upon their commitment to maintain public order for the next twelve months. The trio had been taken into custody on Saturday while disembarking from a flight in the capital. These arrests occurred in the context of broader demonstrations calling for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, following accusations of misconduct during the electoral roll revision process. Despite the detention of numerous activists, journalists, and opposition figures on Saturday, organizers from the Cockroach Janta Party and various leftist factions have announced plans for continued protests in Delhi and Mumbai. The movement remains focused on addressing alleged irregularities within the electoral system.
