The Museum of Islamic Art in Doha has launched the exhibition titled "Uzbekistan: Heritage in Motion," highlighting the nation's cultural history and Islamic influence. Organized by the Art and Culture Development Foundation and the Qatari museum, the display features 36 rare items, including the Katta Langar Quran, Afrosiyob wall paintings, and various traditional crafts spanning from pre-Islamic times to the modern era. Saida Mirziyoyeva, head of the Presidential Administration, attended the opening alongside Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. The event includes workshops on traditional techniques and runs until November 2026. Additionally, a parallel exhibition titled "Ektashif Uzbekistan" displays works created by Qatari artisans following their travels through Uzbekistan. This initiative aims to strengthen cultural cooperation between the two nations through public lectures and artistic exchanges.
