Access to clean drinking water has been successfully reinstated for 180 households in Baireni, located within the Galchhi Rural Municipality of Dhading. The restoration followed essential repairs to the Maheshkhola-Bhattatar-Jintetar deep-boring water infrastructure, which had been damaged by recent flooding. This initiative was executed by the Nepal Red Cross Society’s Dhading branch, supported by a budget of Rs 446,680 provided through the Rasuwa Flood Response Program. During the official inauguration ceremony, Galchhi Rural Municipality Chairperson Kedarnath Khatiwada acknowledged the organization's contribution to community recovery. Durlabh Kumar Tamang, head of the local Red Cross chapter, emphasized that prioritizing the restoration of basic utilities is a critical component of humanitarian relief efforts for those displaced or impacted by natural disasters.
