The Election Commission of India has officially extended the timeframe for submitting claims and objections regarding electoral roll revisions in Delhi and Maharashtra. Furthermore, the commission has broadened the processing duration for these updates in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, and Nagaland. Consequently, the publication dates for final voter lists have been rescheduled: the lists for Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Haryana, and Nagaland are now slated for release on November 30, while Delhi’s final list is set for December 22. These adjustments were implemented following requests from state election authorities and align with recent Supreme Court guidance concerning the revision process in the national capital. The deadline for filing claims and objections has been moved to November 25 to accommodate these administrative changes.
