Citizens of Kazakhstan will gain the right to return online purchases that are in good condition without needing to provide a specific reason. Under a new agreement regarding electronic commerce within the Eurasian Economic Union, consumers can reject items before delivery or send them back within a 14-day window following receipt. This policy applies even if the product is not defective, effectively allowing returns simply due to a change of heart. While the member states of the EAEU have officially signed the accord, the Ministry of Trade and Integration noted that the regulations have not yet been implemented. Once the agreement formally enters into force, it will standardize return procedures for online marketplaces across the participating nations, providing greater flexibility for digital shoppers.
