The Malaysian Ministry of Finance has initiated a series of state-level visits to collect feedback for the 2027 national budget. Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan stated that these engagements involve industry representatives, non-governmental organizations, and the general public to better understand regional economic requirements. During a recent visit to Penang, the Minister highlighted the state's strategic importance in the semiconductor, electrical and electronics, and medical device manufacturing sectors. By interacting directly with stakeholders across the country, the ministry aims to ensure that government policy and financial allocations are aligned with the specific needs of various industries and local communities. This outreach program is designed to gather comprehensive input to inform the government's future fiscal planning and development priorities.
