Leonz Eder, President of the International University Sports Federation (FISU), was officially named an Honorary Professor by the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports. During his visit, Eder met with various regional sports officials to discuss the advancement of student athletics, infrastructure development, and international cooperation. A significant outcome of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the university and FISU, which aims to foster academic research, promote healthy lifestyle programs like the Healthy Campus initiative, and support dual-career pathways for student-athletes. The delegation also observed student-led martial arts demonstrations and toured the university's educational facilities. Officials noted that these collaborative efforts are essential for integrating Uzbekistan’s higher education institutions into the broader global student sports network and enhancing future partnership opportunities.
