Grab Singapore has issued an official apology after a promotional video series, styled after popular Chinese microdramas, triggered public concern regarding passenger safety and personal boundaries. The campaign, titled 'I Fell In Love With My Grab Driver,' features local celebrities Regina Lim and Glenn Yong. The narrative follows a mother who encounters a driver during her daily commute. Following the release of the trailer on Friday, the content faced significant criticism from viewers who felt the depiction of interactions between a driver and a passenger was inappropriate and potentially compromised safety standards. In response to the negative feedback, the company acknowledged the concerns raised by the community and expressed regret for the discomfort caused by the creative direction of the advertisement.
