Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Melquiades Robles has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Filipino to serve as vice chairman of the Asia Pacific Lottery Association (APLA). His two-year term, which extends until 2028, was confirmed during the organization's 2026 General Assembly held in Seoul, South Korea. This appointment follows his 2024 inclusion in the APLA Executive Committee, a position he attained in Hanoi, Vietnam. Robles is credited with elevating the PCSO's standing within the World Lottery Association's Responsible Gaming Framework, moving the agency from Level 1 to Level 3 accreditation in just three years. This advancement highlights the agency's dedication to international standards and responsible gaming practices under his current leadership.
