Pakistani actress Hania Aamir has publicly expressed concern regarding the lack of accountability following a police intervention at a protest in Karachi. The demonstration involved relatives of Pakistani sailors who have been held captive by Somali pirates since April. A video circulating on social media shows law enforcement disrupting the sit-in on Sharea Faisal, an event that occurred shortly after some family members reported being briefly detained ahead of a scheduled march. Aamir utilized her social media platform to condemn the recurring cycle of unresolved crises in the country, questioning the extent of public suffering required before systemic change is implemented. She highlighted a perceived absence of responsibility when addressing such incidents, noting that these situations often fade from public focus without achieving a resolution for the affected families.
