During the third day of the one-off Test match held in Abu Dhabi, Hasan Mahmud made history by becoming the inaugural Bangladeshi pace bowler to secure a hat-trick in the Test format. The 26-year-old athlete dismissed Ismat Alam, Qais Ahmad, and Zia-ur-Rehman in three successive deliveries during the 83rd over at the Zayed Cricket Stadium. This remarkable performance marks only the second time a bowler from Bangladesh has claimed a Test hat-trick, ending a drought that lasted over two decades. The previous instance occurred in August 2003, when leg-spinner Alok Kapali accomplished the feat against Pakistan in Peshawar. Hasan's achievement highlights a significant milestone for Bangladesh's fast bowling contingent in international cricket.
