Hong Kong's Consumer Council has reported receiving 286 complaints regarding the unexpected shutdown of the Hotstone Yoga studio chain. The total value of these claims is estimated at approximately HK$3.9 million. Local authorities, specifically the Customs department, have initiated an investigation into the matter. The yoga company, which was incorporated in 2016 and operated several branches across the territory including Causeway Bay and Central, appears to have ceased all digital operations, with its social media accounts and website becoming inaccessible. Known for its specialized hot yoga sessions, the business had expanded significantly since its inception in Kwun Tong. Affected customers are currently seeking recourse as officials look into the circumstances surrounding the sudden cessation of services.
