House prosecutors have committed to reviewing National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) reports concerning properties associated with Vice President Sara Duterte and Representative Paolo Duterte. This decision follows an inquiry from Senator-Judge Erwin Tulfo during the 38th day of the impeachment proceedings. The NBI had previously identified inconsistencies between the acquisition costs reported in the Dutertes' Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALNs) and the bureau's own preliminary valuations. Prosecutor Chel Diokno confirmed that his team would verify these NBI findings to determine if the identified assets should be integrated into the existing calculation of 817.87 million pesos in alleged unexplained wealth. The review aims to ensure the accuracy of the prosecution's financial evidence as the trial continues.
