Hyosung Heavy Industries is scaling up its presence in the United States power infrastructure sector to address the surging electricity requirements of data centers and artificial intelligence technologies. By leveraging its existing domestic production facilities alongside specialized grid equipment expertise, the firm aims to capitalize on the modernization of aging American electrical networks. A central element of the company's strategic approach involves the deployment of solid-state transformers, which Hyosung identifies as a critical technological component for future power distribution systems. This expansion reflects broader market trends where increased energy consumption is necessitating significant upgrades to national grid infrastructure.
