The Iranian men's wheelchair basketball team secured a narrow 67-62 victory against South Korea during the 2026 Asian Para Games held in Nagoya this Saturday. This result follows the squad's dominant opening performance on Friday, where they defeated Iraq with a final score of 81-23. The Iranian team is now preparing for their upcoming match against the Philippines, scheduled for Monday. Historically, Iran has demonstrated strong performance in this competition, having earned one silver medal and two bronze medals over the course of the last four tournament iterations. The team aims to leverage their current momentum to improve upon these past achievements throughout the ongoing event in Japan.
