Numerous high-ranking members of the former Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa cabinet have disappeared from public view as concerns regarding potential arrests escalate. This development follows the federal government's decision to implement emergency measures and governor's rule within the province. Reports indicate that sixteen ministers, along with various advisers, special assistants, and parliamentary secretaries, have been unreachable for nearly a week, with their mobile devices deactivated. These officials began distancing themselves from former chief minister Sohail Afridi shortly before the official announcement of the emergency on October 11. Currently, there is information circulating about the protective custody of Afridi and other prominent figures within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party. The political climate remains tense as the provincial leadership continues to avoid contact amidst the ongoing transition of authority.
