During a recent session of the House of Representatives, Rastriya Swatantra Party General Secretary Vipin Kumar Acharya expressed concern regarding the sluggish pace of government reconstruction efforts following earthquake damage. He contrasted the government's inaction with the private sector's successful and rapid rebuilding of commercial properties. Acharya specifically highlighted the neglected state of key institutions, including the Singha Durbar complex and the Parliament building, which remain in disrepair. He argued that the government's inability to restore its own central facilities undermines public confidence in the state's capacity to manage reconstruction projects in affected regions like Rasuwa and Nuwakot. The MP emphasized that while private businesses have shown resilience and efficiency, the state's failure to complete its own infrastructure projects reflects poorly on administrative priorities.
