Residents in the South Korean border city of Paju reported hearing broadcasts from North Korea early Thursday morning. According to local accounts, the audio transmissions began around 6 a.m. and included faint music and other sounds. Although the volume remained relatively low, the activity was clearly audible to those living in the vicinity. This development follows a warning issued one week prior by Kim Yo-jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely as these broadcasts mark a potential escalation in cross-border psychological operations. The test occurred despite the ongoing tensions between the two nations, signaling a shift in the status quo along the demilitarized zone.
