North Korean leader Kim Jong-un traveled to the Chinese border city of Dandong on Saturday for a one-day diplomatic visit. During his stay, he toured a local automobile manufacturing facility and visited a memorial dedicated to the Korean War. This trip occurred shortly before the 76th anniversary of the arrival of Chinese forces in the conflict. Kim utilized the recently inaugurated New Amnok River Bridge to cross the border, marking one of the first high-profile uses of the infrastructure since its official opening nine days prior. The visit was confirmed on Sunday by the Korean Central News Agency, highlighting the ongoing bilateral engagement between the two nations regarding historical commemorations and industrial cooperation.
