Official data released on Wednesday indicates that foreign students in South Korea have submitted 115 formal complaints concerning delayed tuition reimbursements over the last five years. These grievances were documented through the government-operated e-People portal and the Ministry of Education. The figures, compiled by the office of People Power Party lawmaker Jung Sung-kook, highlight a recurring issue for international scholars who were unable to proceed with their planned studies. Of the total number of reports, 25 were processed specifically through the e-People system. These findings underscore ongoing administrative challenges faced by foreign nationals navigating the South Korean education system's financial refund processes.
