Authorities in Singapore have launched an inquiry into a 17-year-old male suspected of committing a rash act at the Cove LRT station in Punggol. Law enforcement officials were alerted on September 29, 2026, regarding an event that reportedly took place two days earlier. It is alleged that the youth discarded a bag containing two blocks of ice cream from the elevated train platform late in the evening on September 27. Investigators successfully identified the individual by reviewing security footage and conducting field inquiries. The teenager is presently cooperating with the ongoing police investigation. Under local regulations, individuals convicted of a rash act that threatens public safety or endangers lives may face a maximum prison sentence of six months, a monetary fine, or both. Police officials emphasized that they treat any actions jeopardizing the well-being of others with extreme gravity.
